We’re just about to start the next phase of the #skateboardproject14. As you may already know we have skateboard themed chairs…but what are chairs without a table? What you see pictured here is a 10 foot piece of TEAK. It is only 1 foot wide and 1 inch thick, but that alone cost $265. The company I purchased it from cut me a deal compared to the other store ($100 difference!) This will be 1 OF 4 DIFFERENT types of wood for our table! Here’s a second shot of the chair leg I just posted. The entire chair shows these layers to mimic the way a skateboard is made with layers of wood. We even used a router to round the edges (like a skateboard) and show more of the layers. #skateboardproject14 #skateboarding #carpentry #carpenter #router #skateboardchair #customchair #custom

This is our chair design for the #skateboardproject14 created by @atvjunky … Not only does the design look nice, but by cutting out that much “meat” we actually make each chair 8 LBS lighter! We’ll post more about the #chair once is comes together more. #carpentry #carpenter #customchair #skateboarding
